The allotments have been extremely popular with locals.
"Mindless vandalism."
That's according to Kildare Mayor Joe Neville after an allotment at the Wonderful Barn in Leixlip was set on fire on Friday night.

He said they were set up 10 years ago and have been extremely popular with locals.
"People put in so much effort and so much work. Any damage to the allotments is awful."
He said there has been a high demand for allotments and that it's "mindless vandalism".
There are 80 allotments in 100 square-metre, 150 square-metre and 200 square-metre sizes on the site.
