Over 140 thousand vehicles were checked during speed enforcement operation.
A Kildare motorist was found 56% over the Speed Limit During National Slow Down Day.
The vehicle was recorded traveling at 94km/h in a 60km/h Zone on the R445 near Clogheen.
It was one of 140 thousand vehicles checked during the 24 hour speed enforcement operation which ended this morning.
211 motorist speeding were found speeding during that period.
One motorists was found 57 kilometres an hour over the speed limit on the N25 in Cork
Another was clocked at 161 kilometres an hour on the M6 at Oranmore in Galway.
