Kildare has one of the lowest home vacancy rates, according to data compiled by An Post's data company, GeoDirectory.
The county has a residential property vacancy rate of 1.5% in Q4 of 2024 - lower than the national average of 3.8%.
A total of 1,639 new residential address points were added to the GeoDirectory database in Kildare in 2024, with 1,438 residential buildings were classified as under construction in Kildare in December of last year.
20,092 residential address points across the State were classified as derelict in Q4 2024, with 1.3% of these properties located here in Kildare.
The average house price in Kildare was €412,839 in the twelve months to November 2024, which exceeds the national average.
Carlow was also found to have some of the lowest vacancy rates, at 2.5%.
New figures from this data show that close to 81,000 residential properties were vacant in the final three months of 2024.
Leitrim has the highest vacancy rate, standing at 11.8%.
