Irish Garden Bird Survey coordinator Brian Burke spoke on this mornings Kildare Today about the survey
Residents in Kildare are being urged to get involved as the 35th Irish Garden Bird Survey takes place.
Brian Burke, Irish Garden Bird Survey coordinator with Bird Watch Ireland, spoke on this morning's Kildare Today about the survey.
Taking part in the survey helps maintain, monitor and conserve Irish wildlife.
Kildare has multiple locations that have high activity of wildlife, such as Donadea Forest Park, Mullaghreelan Wood, the Curragh and Pollardstown Fen.
54 species were recorded in Kildare gardens in 2022, one of the highest totals in the country.
