Two female TDs revealed they had to go to gardaí after men turned up at their homes and offices harassing them
A Kildare senator says she has had to take additional security precautions because she is an elected representative, and a woman.
It comes after two female TDs revealed they had to go to gardaí after men turned up at their homes and offices harassing them.
It's led to calls for more to be done to ensure the safety of female politicians.
Kildare Fianna Fáil senator Fiona O'Loughlin is also Chairwoman of the Oireachtas Women's Caucus.
She's been speaking to Kildare Today.
Senator O'Loughlin joined Ciara Noble on Tuesday's edition of the programme
