An additional 36 classes have been sanctioned nationwide
Kildare is set to receive a newly sanctioned special class.
Gaelschoil Chill Dara, located in Newbridge, was included in yesterday's announcement that forms part of the seventh phase of approvals for special classes nationwide for the 2026 to 2027 school year.
An additional 36 classes have been sanctioned, bringing the total approved so far this year to 464, with further decisions expected in the coming weeks.
Last month, the number of special classes in Kildare South was criticised by Labour TD for the area, Mark Wall.
