Intermittent closures will be in place for 6 months.
Sections of Market Square, Kildare Town, will close on a rolling basis until the end of the year.
If follows a vote by members of the Kildare/Newbridge Municipal District, in a move designed to facilitate and support re-opening businesses.
The intermittent closures will begin on July 10th.
Road closure is programmed from:
- 19:00 p.m. to 23:00 p.m. Monday to Friday
- 19:00 p.m. Friday to 7:00 a.m. Monday (7:00 a.m. Tuesday regarding Bank Holidays)
This closure is proposed to be undertaken during off-peak hours. HGV traffic shall divert from the R415 onto the R413 eastbound and R401 westbound.
