A Kildare travel expert says allowing parents and children to reserve seating for free on flights could raise ticket prices.

Fine Gael MEP Regina Doherty, wants the EU to bring in laws to allow parents and children to sit together, without any extra charges.

The MEP says clear laws are needed so parents aren't forced to pay premiums for their child's comfort and safety.
