Seachtain Na Gaeilge 2025 is celebrated from the 1st - 17th March.
Kildare County Council have welcomed the beginning of Seactain na Gaeilge 2025, that starts today, 1st March.
Seachtain Na Gaeilge is the world's largest Irish language festival.
There will be many opportunities around Kildare to get involved in the celebrations, where you can learn more about our native language and to immerse yourself in Irish heritage and culture.
According to the Kildare County Council each of Kildare’s Municipal District Grúpa Pobail Gaeilge (Irish language community group) will organise a variety of Irish language, bilingual events and activities for Seachtain na Gaeilge
In the Naas-Sallins area, Cill Dara le Gaeilge and Sult na Sollán have organised 40 events, so there is no shortage of entertainment.
The festivities will come to a close with Féile Sráide (Street Festival) on St. Patrick’s Day from 2pm with the Céilí Mór beginning at 4:30 on Main Street, Naas.
On St. Patrick's Day many parade's will take place in celebration across the county, including Newbridge, Celrbridge, and Clane.
