Call took place on Friday.
A Kildare woman has received a call to say her medical records were about to be published online.
The caller had her name and other details, and alleged that she had to take action to prevent her information appearing on the internet.
Fears are heightened of the leaking of medical information online, following the cyber attack on the HSE.
Geraldine O'Connor, speaking to Kildare Today, says she ended the call and contacted Gardai.
