Kildare County Council has tendered for the provision of a system to be used by all of those community groups.
It will replace individual text alert schemes.
KCC says it will allow a countywide "web-based message alert app service, with text message functionality for non-smartphone users. "
The deadline for responses to the tender is July 16th.
