Kildare's Fire Service "Slowest" For Retained Service Reponse In 2020.

That's according to a study by the National Oversight and Audit Commission

Kildare's Fire Service was the "slowest for retained services response in respect of fire incidents" in 2020.

That's according to a study by the National Oversight and Audit Commission

It assessed local authorities under 11 categories, including housing, the environment and financial management.

It found that the Kildare's retained fire fighters had an average response time of 6 minutes 45 fire incidents.

That was the slowest of a retained service, and is up from 6 minutes 32 seconds in 2019
