It follows a vote of Kildare County Councillors.
Kildare's 80,000 households face higher Local Property Tax bills from November,
Changes announced by Government in May mean that 7,400 homes in the county, built since 2013, will be brought in to the tax net for the first time.
Kildare County Council is empowered to vary the base level of the levy by +/-15% , or it can elect to make no change.
The charge period for Local Property Tax runs from November 1st to October 31st.
