Krystal will also lead creative writing workshops for local aspiring writers as part of the residency's public-engagement programme
Kildare County Council Arts Service and The ACRE Project have selected writer and dramaturg Krystal Sweedman as the Artist in Residence for 2024/25.
Originally from Australia, Krystal has presented her work in both Ireland and Australia, including at The New Theatre, Fishamble’s Tiny Play initiative, and La Boite Theatre.
During the residency, she will work on her new play ‘Second Skin,’ exploring the relationship between a mother and daughter after a climate disaster.
Krystal will also lead creative writing workshops for local aspiring writers as part of the residency's public-engagement programme.
