101 animal charities receive funding nationwide
The Minister for Agriculture Charlie McConalogue has today announced funding of €6 million to 101 animal welfare charities nationwide - an increase of €200,000 on last year.
This year, there is an additional focus on supporting charities involved in rehoming dogs.
The KWWSPCA based in Athgarvan has received €62,000, while the My Lovely Horse Rescue charity based in Moyvalley has received €54,000.
