Leap Card users can bring a friend on public transport for free over the February Bank Holiday Weekend.
The Leap Plus One initiative runs from Saturday the 4th to Monday the 6th of next month.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan says it's a family friendly, environmentally helpful way to celebrate the first ever February Bank Holiday.
The services include those operated by:
- Bus Éireann (excluding Expressway)
- Dublin Bus
- Go-Ahead Ireland
- Luas
- TFI Local Link
- Iarnród Éireann/Irish Rail
- DART and Commuter Services on the Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail short hop zone
- Cork Commuter Network
- If you have a valid Monthly/Annual ticket on your Leap card you can use it to avail of this promotion on the train services for which your ticket is valid – excluding Cross Border travel.
In addition, the offer applies to the following subsidised services:
- Kilkenny City KK1/KK2 (operated by City Direct)
- Naas – Blanchardstown Route 139 (operated by JJ Kavanagh & Sons)
- Limerick City – Castletroy Route 310 (operated by Dublin Coach)
