Rumours have been circulating on social media.
The former Leinster Leader premises located on South Main Street will not be used to accommodate refugees.
Speaking to KFM, Cllr Bill Clear dismissed the rumours.
He said the iconic building at the heart of Naas Town is under consideration as a potential site for social housing.
