Leixlip Leads Kildare With Highest Commercial Vacancy Rate, Maynooth Has the Lowest

Dara Keogh, CEO of GeoDirectory, ays there needs to be a rethink of how these premises are used.

Kildare's commercial vacancy rate was 14.3% in December 2024, slightly lower than the national average of 14.5%.

Leixlip had the highest commercial vacancy rate (15.1%), while Maynooth had the lowest (11.3%).

GeoDirectory says the national vacancy rate of 14.5 per cent is the highest level since it began keeping records.

Dara Keogh, CEO of GeoDirectory, says there needs to be a rethink of how these premises are used.
