Other vandalism was carried out along the canal between Naas and Sallins
Independent Cllr. Bill Clear is appealing for witnesses, after a rock was thrown through a window in his family home in Oldtown Demesne overnight.
The Naas-based councillor posted the images on his Facebook page this morning, saying "vandalism and thuggery" were the only words he could use to describe it.
He said the rock was thrown through the window, while he, his wife and their children were sleeping.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or were in the Oldtown Demesne area are being asked to contact Naas Garda Station.
It would appear the same individuals then went on to cause damage along the canal between Naas and Sallins, behind the housing estate.
Signs were broken, a green bin was thrown into the water and the ring buoys were removed from their holder.
Cllr. Clear will speak to us tomorrow morning on the Kildare Today programme between 9 and 11am.
