Plans for a new homebuilder factory near Grey Abbey View have been given the green light, signalling a boost to the local economy and job market.
NUA Manufacturing, owned by Glenveagh Properties, will undertake the 7-year project, erecting two light industrial buildings on a 23.4-hectare site.
The factory will focus on timber frame and light gauge manufacturing.
The company already has factories in Carlow, Dundalk and Arklow.
Cllr Anne Connolly praised the move.
She said it's "wonderful for the area" and local employment opportunities.
