They mainly cover northern, western and southern coastal counties.
A status yellow wind covers Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Waterford, Galway, Mayo and Wexford.
Met Eireann is warning of strong and gusty winds along with heavy and thundery showers.
The warning will be in place until 11pm tonight.
While from then there will be a wind alert just for Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick - which runs until tomorrow evening.
