Kfm spoke to a number of residents at the 20th Lock
Locals in Ballyteague have expressed "grave concerns" at the number of scramblers, quad bikes and sulkies travelling along the Blueway, close to the 20th lock.
Residents say the speed of these individuals are putting people's lives at risk, while the noise pollution associated with the vehicles is also a point of frustration for those living in the area.
Fianna Fail Cllr. Daragh Fitzpatrick has called for Kildare County Council and Waterways Ireland to engage with one another and come up with some possible solutions.
In a statement to Kfm, Waterways Ireland says its Operations Team is "considering the steps" they can take "in conjunction with An Garda Siochana and other Blueway partners to encourage appropriate behaviour on the Blueway."
These residents outline what they have witnessed in recent days.
