The money-lender will no longer be issuing any loans and is closing down its Irish operations.
Provident, the largest moneylender in Ireland, has indicated its intention to pull out of the Irish market. They will not be issuing any new loans from today, Monday, 10 May.

It's one of the biggest in the country, but it recorded losses of €78 million last year.
