Major Burst To Water Main In Leixlip This Morning

Uisce Éireann and Kildare County Council are currently working to restore water supply along the Maynooth Road in Leixlip

A major burst to a trunk water main has occurred along the Maynooth Road in Leixlip this morning.

Areas affected include Leixlip village, the Dublin Road up to the Wonderful Barn area and all adjacent and adjoining areas.

In an email provided by Uisce Éireann to Kfm, Uisce Éireann and Kildare County Council are working to restore the water supply as quickly as possible.

Due to the size of the population served by this water supply, repairs are expected to be completed by 8pm tonight.

It is recommended that those affected allow 3-4 hours after the estimated restoration time for the supply to fully return.
