The Department of Education has authorised the Design Team to issue a Letter of Intent to the contractor - a key step that clears the way for the project to move to the construction phase.

The school has been plagued with problems, including persistent leaks, the spread of black mould, and a lack of basic resources - forcing some classes to close in December.
Separately, an emergency works grant has also been approved to carry out repairs to the school’s existing buildings.
The funding will allow all classrooms to return to full operation.
