Motorists are being advised to consider alternative routes, if possible.
A multi-vehicle road traffic incident is causing major delays on the M7/N7 eastbound this morning.
It happened between Junction 10 Naas South and Junction 9A Sallins, with lanes two and three currently blocked.
Traffic is at a standstill from before The Curragh, with long queues forming in the hard shoulder as drivers attempt to exit at J10.
Millennium Park Road is now heavily backed up due to diverted traffic, while routes through Newbridge and Kilcullen are also experiencing significant congestion.
There are additional delays on the M9, with queues extending back beyond the tunnel.
Drivers are being urged to expect significant delays and to consider alternative routes where possible.
