Gardaí have seized firearms and drugs worth more than €700,000 during a major operation across Kildare and Laois.
A major Garda operation targeting organised crime has led to the seizure of military-grade firearms, ammunition, and drugs worth more than €700,000 across Kildare and Laois.
Searches at six locations uncovered 11 firearms, including machine guns and pistols, along with quantities of heroin, cocaine, and cannabis.
Two men in their 40s were arrested and remain in Garda custody.
The operation formed part of Operation Tara, with Gardaí describing it as a significant blow to organised crime and a positive result for the communities in Kildare.
