Extensive damage was caused to the property.
Emergency services responded to a significant house fire at Páirc Mhuire in Newbridge last night at around 9.50pm.
Around six Kildare Fire Service vehicles, including tenders and water tankers, attended the scene to tackle the blaze at a semi-detached home.
Extensive damage was caused to the property.
Firefighters worked to stop the blaze from spreading to the adjoining house, which still suffered some damage.
A line of trees between the homes also caught fire.
Gardaí closed the road through the estate, a main route into town, and maintained a presence as crowds gathered.
No injuries were reported.
A Garda spokesperson told Kfm that the scene remains preserved pending a technical examination.
Enquiries are ongoing.
