A quantity of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of €800 and suspected cannabis herb valued at approximately €150 were discovered
An illegally operated e-scooter and drugs estimated to be worth €950 were found in the possession of a man in Kildare over the weekend.
Naas gardaí were on patrol, when they stopped an illegally operated e-scooter and its rider.
Carrying out a search on the individual, a quantity of suspected crack cocaine with an estimated street value of €800 and suspected cannabis herb valued at approximately €150 were discovered, along with a significant amount of cash.
Further checks by gardaí found that the male also had an active arrest warrant.
He was subsequently arrested at the scene, and has since been charged with offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
The male was also charged for failing to appear in court.
An Garda Síochána Kildare said the male is currently in custody on foot of a bench warrant, and is due to appear before the courts shortly.
A file is being prepared for the DPP.
The e-scooter was also seized.
