Gardaí continuing to appeal for information
Dylan McCarthy has died following an assault in Monasterevin in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Gardaí are renewing their appeal for information.
The 29 year-old was found unresponsive at the scene & taken to Tallaght Hospital.
He died this afternoon, 22nd August.
A post-mortem is to be carried out by Chief State Pathologist, Dr. Linda Mulligan.
Gardaí have noted the results of the post-mortem will determine the course of the investigation.
A second man, aged in his 50s, who was treated for serious injuries and transferred to Tallaght University Hospital.
His condition remains serious.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the vicinity of Dublin Street, Monasterevin on Sunday, between 12.15am & 12.45am to contact them.
Also any road users who were in the area and who may have camera, including dash-cam footage is asked to make this available to Gardaí.
