A man has been arrested after Gardaí were called to reports of a man driving on the M4 in Kilcock armed with a suspected gun yesterday morning.
The man in his 20s was arrested in the Tallaght area of Dublin following a Garda operation, and an imitation gun was recovered.
He is currently being held at a Garda station in Kildare.
Minor damage was caused to two Garda cars in the course of the incident - no one required immediate medical attention.
Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
