Man Arrested In Newcastle Following The Seizure Of €270k In Cash

A house in Newcastle, Dublin 22 was raided on Tuesday.

A man has been arrested after almost 270-thousand euro in cash was seized by gardai in Dublin.

Officers carried out a search as part of an investigation into transnational organised crime.

A house in Newcastle in Dublin 22 was raided yesterday, where the cash, along with a vacuum packing machine and several devices, was seized.

A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of facilitating an organised crime group to commit a serious offence.

He's being questioned at Clondalkin Garda Station where he can be held for up to a week.
