During the operation, Gardaí recovered and seized two firearms.
A tense standoff unfolded in Delgany, Co. Wicklow, earlier this morning when a man barricaded himself inside a property following an attempted execution of a High Court order by a third party.
Gardaí responded to the situation and initiated their Operational Command protocol, appointing an On-Scene Commander.
Local Garda negotiators from the National Negotiators Unit, along with the Armed Support Unit, were deployed to the scene.
Authorities established a security cordon around the property as negotiations commenced.
After several hours of discussions, the incident was peacefully resolved shortly before 3:00 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
The individual involved, a man in his 50s, was arrested at the scene under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939.
He is currently being held at a Garda station in the Eastern Region for questioning.
