A man, aged in his 50s, is receiving medical treatment for serious but non-life threatening injuries at Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
Gardaí have arrested and charged a man following a serious assault in Maynooth on Monday at approximately 6.50pm.
The assault is understood to have taken place at Maynooth University.
