The accused was remanded in custody to appear in court for DPP directions in two weeks time.
A 26-year-old man charged with the sexual assault of a 10-year-old-girl in Citywest has deferred making a bail application.
The accused, who can’t be named for legal reasons, has appeared in court for the second time following the alleged incident in the early hours of Monday morning.
Judge Alan Mitchell ordered the accused should be medically and psychiatrically assessed.
He also noted there was heightened level of security for the court appearance and that was expected to continue.
