The incident occured on the Peamount Road in Newcastle
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a crash in Dublin last night, in which a man in his 40s was killed.
He was seriously injured after being struck by a car on the Peamount Road in Newcastle at about 11pm.
He was taken to Tallaght University Hospital but died a short time later.
Officers are appealing to anyone with information on the crash or video footage of the scene to come forward.
