A large scale security operation was launched yesterday, that saw Connolly Station in Dublin evacuated, after reports of a man with a shotgun.
Teams of armed gardaí were deployed to the scene after the suspect arrived on a train from Sligo.
It's understood that the man boarded the train in Maynooth.
Videos posted online show Gardai carrying the gun away as passengers look on.
