Maynooth LEA Has Highest 14 Day Covid-19 Incidence Rate In Co. Kildare

The national rate, for the period of 20th July to 2nd August, was 372.6 cases per 100,00 people

Maynooth Local Electoral Area has the highest incidence rate of Covid-19 in Co. Kildare, at 336.4 per 100,000 people.

100 cases of the virus were confirmed in the LEA between 20th July & 2nd August.

The next highest incidence was in Kildare LEA at 307.4, per 100,000 people, with 79 cases of the virus reported.

Athy LEA's rate was 293.9, with 78 people contracting the virus.

Naas had the next highest rate, at 291.4, with 114 confirmed cases.

The incidence rate in Leixlip LEA was 283.7, with 45 cases recorded.

Newbridge's rate was 273.4, 97 cases were notified.

Celbridge Local Electoral Area incidence rate for the 2 week period was 198.8 cases, per 100,000 people, with 43 people contracting the virus.

Clane LEA had the lowest incidence rate in the county at 168.8 per 100,000 people.

All of the county's LEAs were below the national average, which was 372.6.
