New figures have revealed that Kildare had the third highest median house price in the 12 months to July.
It comes as the CSO have released their latest Residential Property Price Index.
The median price of a house in Kildare was €450,000, only less than Wicklow at €475,000 and Dublin at €500,000.
The most expensive region in the the capital was Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown, where the median price was €684,411.
The least expensive region within Dublin was Dublin city, which had a median price of €475,000.
The least expensive region over the last 12 months was Longford, where the median price paid for a dwelling was €200,000
When it came to expensive Eircodes, Naas at W91 had a median house price of €447,626, R14 Athy was €355,000, W12 Newbridge was €444,999 and W34 Monasterevin €425,000.
The most expensive Eircode area over the 12 months to July 2026 was A94 (Blackrock, Dublin) with a median price of €850,500, while F45 (Castlerea, Roscommon) had the least expensive median price of €158,500.
The national Residential Property Price Index (RPPI) increased by 5.5% in the 12 months to July 2026, down from the 5.6% recorded in the 12 months to June 2026.
Property prices in Dublin rose by 4.4% and prices outside Dublin were up by 6.4% compared with July 2025.
In July 2026, 4,769 dwelling purchases by households were filed with the Revenue Commissioners at a total value of €2.17 billion. These purchases were made up of 3,418 existing dwellings and 1,351 new dwellings
Revenue data also shows there were 2,035 first-time buyer purchases filed in July 2026.
