Deirdre was last seen on July 28th 1998, near her home at Roseberry in Newbridge, Co. Kildare
Michael Jacob is continuing his appeal for information following the disappearance of his daughter, 18-year-old Deirdre Jacob, in 1998.
This Sunday marks the 26th anniversary of her disappearance.
Deirdre was last seen on the 28th July 1998 near her home, at Roseberry in Newbridge at approximately 3pm.
Deirdre was 18 years of age at the time, 5’3” in height, slim build with grey/green eyes and dark chin length hair.
When she went missing she was wearing a navy v neck t-shirt with white trim on collar and sleeves, navy or black straight jeans and blue Nike runners.
Deirdre was carrying a distinctive black satchel type bag with long shoulder straps and the word CAT in large yellow capital letters on the side.
The black satchel bag has never been located.
In 2018, Deirdre's case was upgraded to a murder case.
Speaking in studio on this morning's Kildare Today, Mr. Jacob said he is certain there is someone who spotted something on the day of Deirdre's disappearance, and urges those to come forward, no matter how insignificant they think the evidence is.
He said they are still hoping to get Deirdre back.
Mr. Jacob's full appeal can be listened to here:
