Some proposals from the Irish Farmers Organisation are being ‘considered’, following ongoing protests at Bord Bia’s offices, according to Agriculture Minister and Kildare South TD, Martin Heydon.
The IFA has been demonstrating since the end of January, after concerns were raised over Bord Bia’s chairperson Larry Murrin and his company’s connection with Brazilian beef.
The IFA is calling for Mr Murrin to ‘step aside’ and allow for a comprehensive review.
Reported by Kfm News earlier this month, farmers staged a protest outside Minister Heydon's constituency office in Newbridge, voicing anger over the actions of the current Bord Bia Chair.
