The Monasterevin Day Care Centre project is expected to go to tender in Q1 2022.
In 2014, the Day Care was closed and since then has been housed within the pavillion of Monasterevin GFC.
Fianna Fáil Senator Fiona O'Loughlin says "this arrangement, whilst functional for a period of time, is not practical in the long-term", therefore both Senator O'Loughlin and Labour Senator Mark Wall have called for action in the Seanad this week.
This morning it was announced that tender documents are expected to be issued in the first quarter of next year and will be followed by an 18-month construction programme, with completion expected in 2023.
