After waiting over an hour for the bus, Paul was forced to call his boss for a lift - a situation that he says is putting his job security at risk.
Frustrated with delays on the TFI Local Link 880 bus service between Naas and Carlow, Paul, a regular commuter, spoke to us this morning about the impact of the delays.
This morning, he waited at the Naas post office from 7 a.m. for the 8.15 a.m. scheduled bus, but it didn’t arrive.
After waiting over an hour for the bus, Paul was forced to call his boss for a lift - a situation that he says is putting his job security at risk.
The issue, Paul says, is not isolated.
“It’s affecting students trying to get to college in Carlow too. With the mornings getting darker and colder, we’re all just standing around waiting,” he explained.
He said he has tried contacting the TFI Local Link team multiple times, but despite assurances that delays would be resolved, the problem persists. “Last week, they told me there was a crash on the motorway, but I’m not following them on Facebook to know that.”
He added: “My boss had to pick me up, and he’s warned me before - he can’t keep coming out of his way."
A spokesperson for TFI Local Link said: "Unfortunately, due to an accident on the M7 this morning, the vehicle dispatched to provide the 07.15 service was late arriving to Naas. All services are now operating to normal schedules."
