Following increase in hospital admissions
Naas General Hospital is advising the general public to attend the hospital's Emergency Department, only if absolutely necessary.
The hospital is experiencing an increase in number of individuals requiring hospital admission.
Naas General is asking members of the public to consider care options, "before presenting to the ED".
The hospital notes if an individual is unwell, visit one's GP or local pharmacy in the first instance.
But adds the importance of not delaying "in seeking medical attention if you suspect you are having a heart attack or stroke."
The hospital would like to remind anyone attending the ED, to wear a mask, practice social distancing & ensuring they inform triage personnel of any potential signs or symptoms of Covid-19 & thank the public for the continued support of the hospital community.
