NAMA controls enough land to build 1,340 homes in Co. Kildare.
The figures were released by the Finance Minister, Pascal Donohue in response to a recent parliamentary question by Sinn Féin's Housing spokesperson, Eoin Ó Broin.
Nationally, NAMA controls enough land to build at least 20,000 homes.
Deputy Ó Broin joined this morning's 'Kildare Today' noting "[W]e need to see these lands as part NAMA's dividend's to the State".
Adding "NAMA has now recouped the debts, it's generating a surplus".
Most of the land is in high-demand/commuter areas, such as Kildare, Dublin, Wicklow & Meath.
63 hectares of this land (with a potential for 2,745 housing units) have planning permission attached.
