National Emergency Weather Group Meeting This Morning

Temperatures predicted to fall to -7C; Cold snap well into next week

The National Emergency Co-ordination Group is meeting in Dublin this morning to assess the impact of the cold weather.

Met Éireann has issued a warning that freezing fog will cause hazardous road conditions.

Snow is forecast to fall in Kildare, Dublin and Wicklow.

An Orange warning for low temperatures will be in place from 5pm until noon tomorrow, as temperatures forecast to dropt to -7C.

The Dublin Airport Authority says that airlines expect to operate a normal schedule today.

Passangers are advised to arrive two hours prior to a short-haul flight and three hours before a long-haul flight, with additional time of up to one hour added if checking in a bag or needing to check-in with their airline at the

Intending passengers should check the status of their flight with their airline in advance of travel.
