The NTA met with Kildare County Council yesterday.
Fine Gael Cllr. Tracey O'Dwyer has confirmed that a new extended bus route from Dunlavin to Newbridge will provide a regular service through Kilcullen on a 7-day basis.
A meeting was held yesterday between Kildare County Council and the National Transport Authority.
It was confirmed that the 129 service will have upgraded frequency compared to the current temporary service, with a commencement date to be confirmed, hoped to be around August or September.
Speaking on this morning's Kildare Today show, Cllr. O'Dwyer welcomed the news.
