It comes into effect tonight
The new Status Yellow snow warning has been issued for Kildare, Wicklow and Dublin.
It will come into effect from 11pm tonight and will remain in place until midday tomorrow.
Met Éireann said it would remain very cold and that showers of snow will lead to accumulations in places, most substantially over high ground.
A Status Orange warning has also been issued for the entire country from Sunday.
A severe frost and further icy stretches will set in on Sunday night, accompanied by patches of freezing fog.
Temperatures are likely to fall below -5 degrees in many areas.
