The Dining Room made the appeal on social media
The Dining Room in Newbridge has issued an appeal for food donations from the public.
In a post on Facebook last night, volunteers said the community food bank is facing an urgent shortage of essential supplies.
They have called out for non-perishable food items like canned goods, pasta, rice and cereal and also said monetary donations would be welcome.
Food donations can be dropped off at their cabin, which is located behind the Open Arms Church in the Newbridge Industrial Estate, every Saturday between 10am and midday.
