Authorities have confirmed that legal proceedings are imminent.
In North Kildare, a motorist was apprehended and detained by local Gardai after being found travelling at nearly twice the legal speed limit.
The incident occurred on Monday night, March 4th, in North Kildare, where a novice driver was caught driving at 141 km/h on an 80 km/h road during a routine speed check conducted by the Garda.
The Naas Roads Policing Unit intercepted the driver, who was subsequently arrested.
